Nice, I was actually more thinking in the upgrade systeme and basic gameplay.
The major points being:
- A [Sphere Grid] like in FFX for basic abilities wich will be oriented in 8 directions [Attack] [Defense][Stealth] [Heal] [Craft] [Art] [Elements] [Intelligence] (the race is unrelevant) and the points you'll put here would be for exemple: "mining +1" "HP +X" Magic resist +X" etc....
-The [Job Système] (only for human, half breeds, dwarfs and elves(?)) where every job unlocks skills every X lvl
Plus for now I was thinking in a gameplay like this (it's not a final version)
[Gameplay]
1-You are born (normally in the society of your race)
2- You earn point to freely put in the [Sphere Grid] every lvl in whatever you want (no straight forward path) (after each death a X% of the point you've puted in are restored for you to start a new game building a better character)
-you unlock job by learning a job entirely and complying achievement
-if you are goblin, kobold, lizardman etc.... you have the possibility to evolve every 100lvl you will only be able to evolve in a race that has something to do with what you did until that point.
3- You discover the world map and can make homes if you want (for your people or for yourself) you can fortifie and developp this home by growing your communauty or by the raw force of your skills (for exemple)
4- You mate (unlocking new playable race, and offering the possibility to play your legacy granting you abilities at the beginning of a new game)
5- [Death].
Your character as 1 on only 1 life his/her death will remain.
5.1 You die with no lineage. you will be able to choose your race and sexe from races you've met in game (if not randomly choose from the first playable races)
5.2 You die with lineage allowing you to reset a game from one of your child's perspective wich gives you abilities and such that the previous character owned plus being normally close from where you died to retrieve equippements.
6.[End Game]
To beat the game you'll have a lot of different ways of doing it, giving you different achievements.
Such as:
Overlord- Destroying every other country of the map.
R.I.P- Dying of old age
Legend- You've reached the stage where you are a species that doesn't exist in the current world.
....etc.....etc...
some end games allow you to plays more further other are marks by your death.
7.[New Game+]
The things your lineage did (or just your old character if you're not playing is lineage) have shaped the world, you'll have to make your new character in this world (with better builds etc.)
Abilities as [Absorbtion] [Telekinesie] [Teleportation] and such... will be granted by complishing a certain number of achievement during one or more lifetime.
well.... I do have more from where that come from...
The important things would be that it would start in a simple rogue like where you are born as low lifes at first and have more chances to die easily and then or by experience of many lives or by lineage being better faster stronger and able to go further in a massive RPG...
